Please Help us. . .
Please help us to keep information involving your child current. If you have moved, changed telephone numbers, changed work or made changes that could affect how we get in touch with you, please let our office know.
Call the School Office
A reminder!!! If your child is ill, has a medical appointment or is gone for personal reasons, please call the school office and let them know. Unexcused or unresolved absences may lead to academic probation if the student’s schoolwork begins to fall behind.
Lunch Money
Lunch money should be given to your child’s teacher. The teacher will send it to the office to make sure it is deposited to your child’s account. One check can be written for all children you have enrolled in the Beatrice Public Schools district, please make sure that you write each child’s name and the amount you want deposited in their account. Please make sure that the lunch money is in an envelope with the student’s name on it.
Morning Drop-off
When dropping your children off at school in the morning please observe the children in the area and watch your speed. When dropping off, please pull in, drop off your student, and drive away. Please don’t linger. Please don’t take up staff parking places while waiting for your child to go into the school. Please don’t drop off on the opposite side of the street and have your student run across in the middle of the street. Students need to use crosswalks to cross the street. We appreciate your help in this matter!
American Education Week
Next week is American Education Week. American Education Week is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate public education and honor individuals who are making a difference in ensuring that every child receives a quality education. We will be celebrating by dressing up for three of the days.
- Monday Nov. 12th: Honoring US Veterans--wear red, white and blue!
- Wednesday Nov. 14th: Career Day--Students dress up to represent what they want to be when they grow up!
- Friday Nov. 16th: Students wear “Orangemen Pride” t-shirt!
It’s Cold Outside
With the cold weather outside, please remember to dress your child warmly. We go outside at lunch recess every day unless the temperature is below zero.
Please make sure they have hat, gloves and boots before they leave for school. Also, boots and snow pants are required to play in the snow. Boots are required to be able to play somewhere other than the hard surface. Also, please make sure your child has a warm coat. We have several students that wear only hooded sweatshirts and when the temperature is quite cold, we require those students to wear a coat as well as the sweatshirt if they want to go outside for lunch recess.
If your child is in need of a winter coat, please contact our school office @ 223-1575. We have many new winter coats that need homes.
