Dr. James Collman is a 1950 graduate of Beatrice High School. His career includes various teaching positions at the collegiate level. He is currently a professor in the Chemistry department at Stanford University. Dr. Collman has received many academic honors including, California Scientist of the Year and various. Fellowship awards. His research interests include work in the are of electrochemical catalysts and porphyrin complexes. His background includes a B.S. Degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1954, M.S. from UNL in 1956, and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 1958.
