Hale McCown is a 1931 graduate of Beatrice High School. Mr. McCown began his law career in 1937 in Portland, Oregon. In 1942 he moved back to Beatrice to practice law until 1965. During this time, Mr. McCown served two years as President of the Nebraska State Bar Association and served in many capacities for various local and Statewide committees. In 1965, Mr. McCown became a judge in the Nebraska Supreme Court until his retirement in 1983. His background includes an A.B. degree from Hasting College in 1935 and an L.L.B. degree from Duke Law School in 1937.
