Meet the Assistant Principal: Ms. Henning
It is a pleasure for me to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal of Beatrice Middle School. It has been an honor for me to work with such fantastic staff, students and families over the past three years serving in this position.
Of the many decisions we face throughout our lives, those having to do with our children are the most important. As educators, our job is to prepare our students with the necessary tools to be successful in a rapidly changing world. You have entrusted your children to an incredibly talented and dedicated staff. I am impressed with their commitment and passion as they work with all your children every day.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Education, with a minor in Early Childhood Education in 1984 . Over the next nine years, I completed a Master in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master of Educational Leadership, both from Doane University.
I started my teaching career as a Pre-School Teacher and Director in Crete, Nebraska. After three years, I accepted a Kindergarten position in Exeter, Nebraska. I made the decision to stay home with my three beautiful sons, David, Steven and Mac until they were all in school. As I moved back into education, I was excited to accept a position as a second grade teacher at Paddock Lane Elementary. After seven years there, I moved to the Middle School where I taught sixth and seventh grade science for thirteen years.
I am truly enjoying my new role here at Beatrice Middle School and look forward to meeting all of you in the coming school year.
