Mr. Louis Goossen is a 1936 graduate of BHS. Ms. Goossen was an electrician in Beatrice when he became a Dairy Equipment Dealer in the late 1940's. He was recognized in 1971 as one of the top dealers in the nation and sold his business in 1984. During this time he received a patent for a Cow Flow Trainer, which was used to guide dairy cows during the milking precess. He was involved with manufacturing of this product, along with lawn care products until he sold his business in 2001. He was also involved in the construction of numerous structured in Beatrice. His latest development is the Flowing Springs Retirement Community. He has received a number of community service awards and has served on various community boards.
