David Kozak is a 1977 graduate of BHS. He obtained a degree in Anthropology in 1987 from Fort Lewis College. He obtained his Ph.D. in anthropology in 1994 from Fort Lewis College. Dr. Kozak is currently an associate professor of anthropology at Fort Lewis College and has been a research associate on various diabetes prevention projects since 1993. In 1996 he received the prestigious John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation grant for teaching innovation. He has written two books and has been published widely in medical and anthropological journals.
