Dr. Dean Linscott is a 1949 graduate and a 1953 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Linscott earned his Ph.D. in Agronomy from UNL in 1961. Dr. Linscott then moved to Ithaca where he worked as a research agronomist with the USDA at Cornell University until he retired in 1992. Dr. Dean Linscott also served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1987. He retired from the U.S. Army as the Commanding General of the 98th Training Division. Some of his decorations include the Army Commendation Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Order of the Tomahawk, and the Distinguished Service Medal.
